The St. Lawrence Economic Development Council (Sodes) announces the appointment of Julien Fouquet-Asselin as Director of Content and Strategic Initiatives, effective July 2.
This appointment is part of Sodes’ commitment to enhancing its capacity to produce strategic analyses, anticipate changes in the sector and develop transformative initiatives to serve its members and the wider maritime ecosystem.
Mr Fouquet-Asselin will lead the production of sectoral analyses and studies, briefings, position papers, regional profiles and decision-making tools for members, partners and public decision-makers. His work will help transform strategic information into useful knowledge for members, partners and public decision-makers.
Drawing on his expertise in economic development, strategic intelligence and government relations – gained notably at the Ministry of International Relations and La Francophonie and the Ministry of Economy, Innovation and Energy – Mr Fouquet-Asselin will help to enhance Sodes’ capacity for foresight, analysis and mobilisation. Through the design and management of strategic initiatives, continuous monitoring of economic, environmental, regulatory, technological and geopolitical trends, and consultation with stakeholders, he will support the development of concrete solutions that promote competitiveness, sustainable transition and the resilience of the St Lawrence maritime corridor.
“With the creation of this post, Sodes is investing in its ability to better understand the transformations affecting the industry and to support its members through rigorous analysis, decision-support tools and structural initiatives,” said Mathieu St-Pierre, Chief Executive Officer of Sodes.
