The Montreal Port Authority (MPA) announces the appointment of Étienne Mignault-Proulx as Senior Director of Maritime Operations and Harbour Master. He assumed his duties on March 30, 2026.
A member of the International Harbour Masters’ Association as well as the Operations Committee of the Shipping Federation of Canada, Mr. Mignault-Proulx brings several years of experience in port management.
Since 2021, he had served as Harbour Master at the Société du parc industriel et portuaire de Bécancour, where he ensured the safety and efficiency of operations, modernized the regulatory framework, and oversaw all port management processes.
His career also includes roles as Director of Operations and Development and as Port Superintendent. In these capacities, he managed complex operations, optimized work processes, supported business development, and maintained relationships with numerous stakeholders in the maritime industry.
