Québec City – Ocean Group, a well-established player in the Quebec and Canadian marine industry, officially launches its RESPIRE fundraising campaign. Funds raised will be donated directly to the Fondation du CHU de Québec to renew the stock of neonatal critical care ventilators at the Centre mère-enfant Soleil of the CHU de Québec-Université Laval, which is currently in desperate need.
Gordon Bain, Founder and Chairman of the Board, and Jacques Tanguay, President and CEO, invite the city of Québec business community to attend a cocktail reception at the Hôtel Monsieur Jean in the heart of Old Québec on September 21st.
“The respirator stock at the Centre mère-enfant Soleil de Québec needs to be renewed, and since the cause of sick children is particularly close to our hearts, it was only natural for us to become more closely involved,” says Gordon Bain.
“We celebrated our 50th anniversary in the past year, and we are taking this opportunity to repeat the experience of raising significant funds to give back to our community,” emphasizes Jacques Tanguay.
It should be remembered that in 2012, Ocean Group organized a fundraising event that saw more than fifteen respirators donated to the neonatal unit of the Centre mère-enfant at CHU de Québec-Université Laval. This major event raised a considerable sum of $260,000.
