Traditionally held in September, Halifax Port Days has been cancelled by the Halifax Port Authority (HPA) due to COVID-19, it was announced today.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in national and global travel restrictions, self-isolation and quarantine measures, significant manufacturing disruptions, impacts on supply chains and considerable economic upheaval including mass global layoffs,” the HPA said. “The situation is expected to last for several months.”
“Out of consideration to our delegates and sponsors, Halifax Port Days will be suspended until 2021. The Halifax Port Authority Port Days Planning Committee would like to thank our sponsors and delegates for their consideration and understanding.” (photo HPA)
