Michael Fratianni, President of Montreal Gateway Terminals Partnership (MGT), was elected new Chair of the new board of Green Marine at its Annual General Meeting. He succeeds Ron Tursi, President of Guardian Ship Management, who has served on the Board for six years, the last year of which was as Chairman.
“I look forward to working with the board and the overall membership towards the program’s further outreach and development in advancing the maritime industry’s environmental excellence,” Mr. Fratianni said upon his appointment on June 3.
He is backed by Vice-Chair Mark Barker, President of Interlake Steamship Company, and Brandy Christian, President and CEO of the Port of New Orleans as treasurer. Mr. Barker was elected to a second term along with Craig Middlebrook, Deputy Administrator of the Saint Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation. Sylvie Vachon, President of the Montreal Port Authority, is stepping down from the board prior to her retirement at the end of this year.
Two new directors have also joined the board: Claudine Couture-Trudel, Vice-President, Strategy and Public Affairs at QSL, and Stéphanie Jones Stebbins, Managing Director, Maritime at the Port of Seattle.
