The summer 2024 issue pursues highly-topical reports of special interest to maritime and logistics stakeholders as well as shippers and government policymakers.

First there is an in-depth review of key cargo trends and infrastructure projects at Canadian ports from east to west maintaining a dynamic momentum to respond competitively to supply chain demands amid today’s volatile geopolitical and economic universe. This large feature, not to be found in any other publication in Canada, will be distributed at the annual conference of the Association of Canadian Port Authorities (ACPA) being staged at Port Alberni, British Columbia on September 17-19, 2024.

Secondly, our West Coast correspondent, Colin Laughlan, who has considerable expertise in world trade developments and Canada’s initiatives to expand and diversify its markets, has produced his yearly assessment of opportunities and challenges in the vast Indo-Pacific region.
