The Government of Canada introduced the Building Canada Strong Act yesterday to facilitate supply chain strength across the nation. The Chamber of Marine Commerce appreciates the sustained focused on enhancing transportation links demonstrated by the Federal Government, as this legislation follows other important initiatives by this government, like the creation of the $5 Billion Trade Diversification Corridors Fund and the launch of the new Commodities Sectoral Support Program.
“The introduction of Building Canada Strong Act shows that the Federal Government is focused on the fundamentals – when you bolster national supply chains you build economic strength and enhance Canada’s reputation as an ideal global trading partner,” said Joshua H. Juel, President and CEO of the Chamber of Marine Commerce.
