Antidia Citores appointed General Manager of Green Marine Europe

Quebec City – Green Marine International has announced the appointment of Antidia Citores as General Manager for Green Marine Europe, the environmental certification program for the European maritime industry. Antidia officially assumes her position today and will carry out her role from Bordeaux, France.

With her 4-year experience as a project manager for Green Marine Europe and spokesperson for Surfrider Foundation Europe, which coordinated the program during its implementation in Europe, Antidia will bring her expertise in maritime law and ecological transition to strengthen the environmental commitment of the European program.

“I am honoured by this appointment and excited to continue Green Marine Europe’s development. We have a unique opportunity to intensify our efforts for a more sustainable European maritime industry that respects marine ecosystems,” said Antidia Citores.

David Bolduc, President and CEO of Green Marine International, welcomed this appointment: “Antidia has played a key role in adapting the North American program to European specificities. Her vision, network and leadership will be essential to strengthen our global mission and the development of Green Marine Europe.”

A new global structure

Green Marine Europe is now part of a consolidated international structure under the aegis of Green Marine International. The Board of Directors brings North American and European representatives together, underlining the program’s global ambition. This unified governance aims to promote sustainable practices on a global scale while maintaining rigorous environmental certification standards.

With this appointment, Green Marine International reaffirms its commitment to guiding the maritime industry towards innovative and sustainable solutions in North America and Europe.

The Green Marine Europe team also counts on the expertise of Pasquine Albertini, who will assume the role of Communications and Engagement Strategies Lead, Europe, and Romain Benoit, a consultant who will support European participants in assessing their environmental performance for the 2024 certification process currently underway.

Launched in 2020, Green Marine Europe currently has 26 ship owners, representing a large and diverse maritime fleet of more than 500 vessels, and three major shipyards in the program.
